From the once richly furnished castle in Murska Sobota, the great hall/drawing room has retained most of its former splendour. On the ceiling, there is a holistically painted, iconographically alluring realisation of the allegory of peace in the manner of Baroque illusionism of the later period. Just as remarkable are the three paintings of Italian origin: Christ Healing a Man with Dropsy (c. 1600) in the style of Late Mannerism, and the depiction of Nicolo Bambini's (1651-1736) Jacob Wrestling with the Angel and Judas and Tamara. The current furnishings of the salon consist of an early Baroque chest of drawers (Reggio-Emilia, 17th century), an inlaid floor clock with a clockwork mechanism by Frantz Schindler (c. 1780) and a New Baroque, historic seating set from the third quarter of the 19th century. The salon table in the style of Louis XVI is extremely valuable with an artfully crafted plate and flower-painted porcelain inserts (Pierre Joseph Guerou, 1852).
